Alright, since a couple people (or one, rather), want to know what's happened to me the past year, here you go.
Prepare yourselves for an exciting story~! >_>
Okay, sometime during the summer of last year, I had decided to quit my Xanga. In the entry I had proclaimed that it was probably the last entry.
I was just bored with it, but deep down I wasn't 100% sure if I would NOT come back to Xanga. In other words, sooner or later...I'd probably end up coming back.
Anyways.
For awhile I had dial-up, because after we had moved to a different house, I was sad to discover that DSL wasn't an option. Nor could I get cable, for certain, stupid reasons.
The dial-up sucked. I was usually connected at around 14 kbps. No lie. o_O So let me tell you, it was hell. Frustrating...not even worth the $4 I was spending on it.
Not to mention, several times it BROKE and I had to call the company to come and fix things. They eventually said that they'd have to start charging for that soon, and I wasn't about to pay $200 to fix the shitty dial-up.
Alas, one day it came and broke. Something to do with the old lines in the house, I suppose.
But no matter what, I couldn't get a dial-tone. My modem was fine, and so was the phoneline...since we could call people.
But I decided to say, well, it's a cuss word I rather not mention here. But I was somewhat glad to let dial-up go. I decided I'd:
* Wait for DSL to come to my street. I called around a lot and even got added to the waiting list. To this day, it still isn't available here. Which is sad.
* Hope that my city's cable company would get their own cable internet service, seeing as city hall banned Comcast...so I was screwed in that department.
Around 6 months pass. By this point I have got a new dog (Shetland Sheepdog, he's a little over 7 months now! I love him to bits), and a lot has changed.
I decide to look in the phone book one day to see if any new internet service providers had begun advertising. Low and behold, my local cable company had finally started their own high speed internet service.
I get hooked up with them, and BAM. Here I am. In fast internet-access glory.
Maple Story wise, I've only managed to get to lvl 57 since my return. I can't find the motivation ATM to train as hard as I once did, but hopefully that'll change soon.
It's good to have the internet back. I've had it back since February, but just now have I decided to come back and give Xanga some love.

It's funny how we can never stay away for too long, huh?
